Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley will likely leave the NBA bubble for his child's birth, per head coach Quin Snyder.
“Let me say, first of all, that I hope we’re without him for as long as he needs to be [gone] to prioritize something that is a gift,” Snyder said. “I’m glad he’s gonna be there. I don’t think it’s even a hope to be there — I think he needs to be there, and he knows that, and he agrees.” Conley previously acknowledged that he may wind up having to miss a game or two due to quarantine procedures upon returning to the bubble. Players who exit the bubble with approval from the league are only subject to a four-day quarantine. The due date for Conley's child is currently August 27. He's expected to take on a larger role offensively in place of Bojan Bogdanovic (wrist).
numberFire's models expect Conley to average 14.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.8 3-pointers per game over the rest of the season. He's averaging 0.9 FanDuel points per minute without Bogdanovic.
