The Houston Rockets confirmed that guard/forward P.J. Tucker will no longer play for the team moving forward.
Rockets head coach Stephen Silas said the two sides are working to find a resolution. Tucker is shooting a career-low 36.6 percent from the field this season and will turn 36 in less than two months, but multiple contenders will likely be interested in the veteran's services. Justin Patton will likely see an expanded role over the second half of the season as Houston evaluates its younger talent.
Patton is averaging 9.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 2.4 blocks per 36 minutes over his first 10 appearances. The 23-year-old is also yielding 0.8 FanDuel points per minute.
