The Portland Trail Blazers are acquiring shooting guards Josh Hart, Tomas Satoransky, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Didi Louzada, as well as a protected first, and two future seconds from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for guard C.J. McCollum, guard/forward Tony Snell, and power forward Larry Nance Jr.
Hart should shift from one starting role to another for the Trail Blazers and he may actually see more scoring opportunities for a team that just traded away McCollum and Norman Powell. Depending on his physical, Hart might be able to make his Portland debut on Wednesday versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Ben McLemore will likely replace McCollum in the starting lineup on Tuesday versus the Orlando Magic. The Pelicans may decide to go with Jaxson Hayes in the first unit on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets.
numberFire's models project Hart to average 32.3 minutes, 13.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.9 steals, and 2.1 triples per game over the rest of the season. McCollum was second on the Trail Blazers with a 26.3% usage rate this year.
