The Washington Wizards are acquiring center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) from the Dallas Mavericks.
The Wizards are also receiving a second-round pick while trading away Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans. Porzingis missed the past five games with a knee injury, but the expectation seems to be that he will return after the All-Star break. Bradley Beal (wrist) is done for the season, so Porzingis should take over as the Wizards' number-one scoring option whenever he's ready. Kyle Kuzma or Thomas Bryant will likely lose their starting spot and Daniel Gafford also takes a hit. Dwight Powell and Dorian Finney-Smith should continue to start for Dallas.
numberFire's models expect KP to play 33.5 minutes per game while averaging 21.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks. He averaged 1.27 FanDuel points per minute for the Mavericks this season.
