Boston Celtics center Robert Williams recently underwent a procedure in his knee and could return in the second half of the season, per FanDuel partner Shams Charania.
"I'm told his hope is sometime in December or January, but it could be even later than that," Charania said. The Celtics started Derrick White instead of Grant Williams in the preseason with Robert out, so he will likely remain in the lineup for Tuesday's season-opener against the Philadelphia 76ers. Grant will still benefit off the bench while Robert is sidelined and Al Horford will also play a larger role. Blake Griffin, Luke Kornet, and Noah Vonleh are other potential beneficiaries from Robert's absence.
White has a $4,400 salary and is numberFire's third-best point-per-dollar value on Tuesday's two-game Main slate. Our models project him for 25.9 minutes and 23.5 FanDuel points versus the 76ers. Horford ($6,000) is projected for 28.0 minutes and 27.9 FanDuel points. Grant ($4,600) is projected for 29.3 minutes and 19.7 FanDuel points.
