Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Anthony Davis (foot) is out Wednesday versus the Houston Rockets.
The Lakers are holding Davis out for the second leg of their back-to-back as he continues to recover from an "active" foot injury, per head coach Darvin Ham. He played the last six games and scored 30-plus four times, including 35 points with 17 rebounds on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Jarred Vanderbilt, Rui Hachimura, and Wenyen Gabriel should see more minutes on Wednesday with Davis sidelined. There will also be more scoring opportunities for D'Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley.
Gabriel has a $4,200 salary and is numberFire's top point-per-dollar value on Wednesday's seven-game slate, while Vanderbilt ($5,500) is our second-best and Hachimura ($4,700) is third. Beasley ($4,900) and Russell ($8,200) are also currently top-10 value plays in our projections.
