Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Jaden McDaniels (left calf soreness) is limited to individual drills.
The Timberwolves will release their first official injury report for the season on Tuesday, but it sounds like McDaniels will be ruled out for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Toronto Raptors. Kyle Anderson is the favorite to replace McDaniels in the starting lineup. Troy Brown, Naz Reid, and Leonard Miller are also candidates for additional minutes if McDaniels is unavailable.
numberFire's models project McDaniels to average 13.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 1.9 3-pointers in 32.0 minutes per game this season. His rebounding numbers regressed slightly in his third year, but McDaniels has improved his points, assists, steals, and field goal percentage every season.
