Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) is out for Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks.
Ball will miss his first game of the season after injuring his ankle on Sunday versus the Orlando Magic. He avoided structural damage, but this could still be a multi-game absence due to Ball's history of ankle damage. There will be additional ball-handling opportunities for Terry Rozier, Brandon Miller, and Gordon Hayward with Ball out of the lineup. Ish Smith and James Bouknight (knee) could see more playing time.
Rozier has a $7,900 salary on Tuesday’s eight-game slate and numberFire's models project him for 35.6 FanDuel points over 37.8 minutes. Per our NBA Heat Map, the Hornets have the second-lowest implied total today (104.75) while the game total (221.5) is also second-lowest.
