The Brooklyn Nets waived forward Thaddeus Young on Thursday.
The Nets acquired Young in a trade from the Toronto Raptors at the deadline and released him shortly thereafter. The 35-year-old veteran was mostly irrelevant for the Raptors in November and December, but then he averaged 21.1 minutes per game in January and February. Young will likely draw interest on the open market from a team looking to improve their bench.
Young averaged 19.7 FanDuel points per game during that January-February stretch, with 6.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 steals.
