Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson will continue to operate in a bench role, according to Steve Kerr.
Thompson, who scored 35 points off the bench against the Utah Jazz on Thursday, will continue in that role for now. Asked about the move, Kerr said "Doesn't mean it's permanent...We'll give it a little look and see how it goes." Expect Thompson to play at least a couple more games off the bench when the Warriors' season resumes after the All-Star break.
Thompson is averaging 17.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 26.7 FanDuel points per game this season.
