Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
The Timberwolves are still working to determine the severity of the injury, but according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Towns might not be facing an extended absence. He has already been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Indiana Pacers, so Kyle Anderson will likely draw at least one start and play extended minutes. Naz Reid should also see an uptick in playing time without Towns, and there will be additional ball-handling opportunities for Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, and Anthony Edwards.
Anderson is numberFire's second-best point-per-dollar value on Thursday. He has a $5,500 salary and our models project him for 29.8 FanDuel points. Reid has a $5,900 salary and is projected for 29.4 FanDuel points.
