Washington Nationals infielder CJ Abrams has been scratched from the lineup Saturday in the team's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Abrams has been removed from the lineup for Saturday afternoon's contest two hours before scheduled first pitch; no reason has been given yet for the change. In the meantime, Nasim Nunez will take over at shortstop, batting ninth in the order versus Phillies starter Ranger Suarez.
In 32 plate appearances this season, Abrams has a .321 batting average with a .994 OPS, 2 home runs, 5 runs, 5 RBI and 3 stolen bases.
