Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks said that the starting small forward position is "up for grabs."
Porter posted career highs in every category last season and played pretty well, but Kelly Oubre also showed some flash in his rookie campaign. Porter is still likely going to start, but his upside could be limited with Oubre lurking. A timeshare is possible at small forward in DC this season.
Porter averaged 11.6 points, 5.2 boards and 1.6 assists last season with a career-best .541 effective field goal percentage. He owned a 2.8 nERD and a .564 true shooting percentage in 30.3 minutes per game.
