Miami Heat guard/forward Josh Richardson (right knee) has been ruled out for Miami's regular-season opener against Orlando.
Opening night was never a realistic target date for Richardson, but he shouldn't miss too much time to start the year. Occasional soreness is a mild issue following workouts, but he's no longer experiencing pain in his right knee. With an opportunity to replace Dwyane Wade as the starting two-guard in Miami, Richardson is an appealing late-round stash.
numberFire's models expect Richardson to log 31.4 minutes a game this season, averaging 10.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 3-pointers on 43.4 percent shooting from the field and 39.6 percent from deep.
