There's a chance that Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley (back) will be able to beat his 6-8 week timetable.
This is all speculation right now, but Jason Thompson and Hedo Turkoglu both had a similar injuries before and they both only missed 2-3 weeks. However, it's still a fracture in his vertebrae, so don't expect Memphis to rush back their $126 million dollar man. Andrew Harrison and Wade Baldwin will pick up the slack while Conley is out.
Conley was off to a strong start after signing a record contract, averaging 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.5 three-pointers. He has a .530 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of 2.8 ranked 15th coming into Tuesday.
