Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Blake Griffin will require arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies from his right knee on Tuesday, and he's expected to miss the next three-to-six weeks.
Considering his history with knee problems, any procedure is a concern, but arthroscopic is the least invasive, so Griffin has a chance to hit the shorter end of that timetable. Paul Pierce, Brandon Bass and Marreese Speights will see more minutes, while Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan should receive the biggest upticks in offensive usage. It opens up a nice buy-low opportunity for owners who can't afford the dead roster spot.
Griffin is tied for 20th in the NBA (Kemba Walker) with a 3.0 nERD this season. He's averaging 21.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.7 minutes per contest, while his .480 field goal percentage is career-low.
