Oklahoma City's Enes Kanter (forearm) expected to miss 6-8 weeks after punching a chair

Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter fractured his forearm punching a chair on Thursday night, and is expected to be sidelined for six-to-eight weeks.

What It Means:

Kanter is averaging 21.6 minutes per game this season, so his absence opens up quite a bit of opportunity. No one player is likely to step up and replace his role completely, but look for Joffrey Lauvergne, Domantas Sabonis and Jerami Grant to all see their roles expand until Kanter is back.

Kanter has been very effective even with his fairly low minutes this season, and he ranks 21st in the NBA and second among Thunder players with a 4.9 nERD.
