Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry is set to undergo wrist surgery to remove loose bodies from his right wrist, and he's aiming to return for the playoffs.
Adrian Wojnarowski suspects Lowry will be out 4-5 weeks. This means Cory Joseph is locked in as the starting point guard moving forward, while DeMar DeRozan is also going to be very busy with Lowry on the shelf. Joseph is averaging 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in three starts this season.
Tonight against the New York Knicks, numberFire's models project Joseph to record 13.8 points, 4.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 2.1 3-pointers in 35.3 minutes of action.
