Brooklyn Nets guard Jeremy Lin (ankle) is doubtful to play Tuesday versus the Detroit Pistons.
Lin is considered "day-to-day," but the Nets are the worst team in the NBA and may just opt to shut him down. Spencer Dinwiddie is replacing Lin in the starting lineup.
In 16 starts this season, Dinwiddie is averaging 8.3 points, 3.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 0.9 3-pointers per game at 45.7 percent shooting from the field (48.3 percent from deep). Lin is third on the Nets with a 0.2 nERD this season while Dinwiddie ranks ninth (-1.1 nERD).
