The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade point guard Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets.
The NBA offseason madness continues. In exchange for Paul, Houston will send Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams, and a 2018 first-round pick to the Clippers. CP3 apparently told the Clippers he was going to sign with the Rockets, so they wisely decided to get what they could for him, as opposed to losing the All-Star point guard for nothing. Paul's production should remain largely intact, while James Harden could see his assist numbers fall in exchange for more scoring.
Paul finished the 2016-17 season with 18.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game while posting a 12.8 nERD rating - the 13th best mark among the 486 NBA players last season.
