Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin plans to reach an agreement on a five-year, $173 million deal with the Clippers, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
Griffin canceled planned meetings with the Suns and Nuggets and shortly afterwards, Charania broke the news that Griffin is most likely staying put. Now that Chris Paul is gone Griffin might lose some value in fantasy hoops, but he is the clear number one option offensively on a team without much else in that department right now.
Griffin is coming off averaging 21.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 0.9 steals over 34.0 minutes per game. He owned a .513 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of 7.3 ranked him 26th among all players.
