Chicago Bulls forward Bobby Portis has been suspended eight games for punching teammate Nikola Mirotic according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.
Portis will be eligible to return Tuesday, November 7 in Toronto after his suspension is served. It's another dark mark on the Bulls' season, as they will now be without their two best power forwards for the first few weeks of the year. Chicago's lottery pick, Lauri Markkanen stands to get a lot of run while Portis and Mirotic are out.
Once Portis comes back from his suspension, our models project him to average 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds over 22.4 minutes per game.
