Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night due to right knee soreness, head coach Jason Kidd said.
This one was unexpected, but assuming it's only soreness and not anything more serious, the Bucks may just be playing it safe and giving him a full four days off before facing the Utah Jazz on Friday. With Giannis on the bench, Eric Bledsoe is going to be busy on offense for Milwaukee in a revenge game against his former team.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 55.8 FanDuel points across 16 games this season. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models project him to record 23.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.8 steals, 2.1 blocks, 0.8 3-pointers, and 2.6 turnovers per game on 47.8 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three.
