Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Blake Griffin's MRI revealed no structural damage to his left knee, but the MCL sprain could cost him up to two months on the sidelines, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Clippers are sitting on a 7-11 record without a lot of postseason hopes, so they'll likely err on the extreme side of caution with their franchise cornerstone. Montrezl Harrell figures to take over at the four while Lou Williams and Austin Rivers will be busy on offense until Danilo Gallinari (glute) returns. DeAndre Jordan could see an uptick in usage as well, in addition to more minutes for the likes of Sam Dekker, Wes Johnson, and Willie Reed.
Griffin is averaging 41.4 FanDuel points across 19 games this season. Once he returns, numberFire's models project him to record 23.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 2.9 turnovers per game on 51.3 percent from the field.
