Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams has agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Williams and the Clippers had previously engaged in contract talks before rumors of him being shopped in this year's trade market. This makes Williams a less appealing addition for a contender, and it also boosts the value of Tyreke Evans. With Williams locked up, the Clippers could also let Avery Bradley walk in free agency or trade him before the deadline. The third year of Williams deal is believed to be a team option.
At 31, Williams is averaging 35.3 FanDuel points and a career-high 23.3 points in 32.5 minutes per game.
