Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Jimmy Butler (right knee) has been "moving along pretty well" in his rehab from meniscus surgery, head coach Tom Thibodeau said on Tuesday.
Thibodeau said Butler is running on an anti-gravity treadmill but hasn't resumed jumping yet. He was initially given a 4-6 week timetable, which would potentially put him back on the court as early as March 26 against the Memphis Grizzlies. Nemanja Bjelica has been filling in for Butler in the Timberwolves' first unit.
Butler averaged 41.4 FanDuel points per game this season before having surgery, with 22.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.2 3-pointers per contest.
