Can anyone top Anthony Davis' Kentucky squad?

The most recent team to make the list is head coach John Calipari's Wildcats -- and not the ones you'd first suspect. No, it's not Anthony Davis' team, but rather Karl-Anthony Towns' star-studded squad.

With a massive amount of young talent, Calipari decided to shift five-man squads in and out during the regular season. At times, people questioned his methodology, but he thought it best for the development and success of the players. Looking back at it, he appears to be a genius.

Despite limited minutes, three players averaged double figures. If given more minutes -- say a full 40 -- Kentucky would've had 10 players scoring at least 10 points per game. With that talent, the Wildcats boasted the nation's best defense, by most standards, paired with an offense that slotted them in the 98th percentile among all NCAA teams.

Their offense was good, but their defense is what propelled them to a perfect regular season and a 38-1 record overall. Their only loss came in the Final Four to a determined Wisconsin Badgers team, shattering the youngsters' hopes of a national title. Still, Kentucky was so talented that they lost six players to that summer's NBA Draft.
