This team surely isn't as memorable as some of the others on this list for the simple fact that Stanford's not known for their basketball program.
Nonetheless, the '01 Cardinal were a successful squad, with a 31-3 record and the nation's sixth-best scoring offense (83.2 per game). In fact, their offense was better and more efficient than every other team in the nation, as evident from their 100th percentile rank.
Four players averaged at least 11.4 points per game. That included the Collins twins, who posted 27.3 points and 14.5 rebounds per game together. Jason Collins proved to be the better of the two. He led the team with .336 win shares per 40 minutes. The team's leading scorer, Casey Jacobsen, put up 18.1 points per game while accruing 6.0 win shares on the year.
In spite of their uber-efficient offense, Stanford's success ran out in the Elite Eight. They lost 87-73 to the Maryland Terrapins.
