This isn't Josh Hart's first rodeo. In 2016, he was instrumental in the Villanova Wildcats' national title run. In those six games, the 6'5" shooting guard averaged 15.0 points on 52.9% shooting.
During the 2016-17 regular season, Hart contributed more of the same, with averages of 18.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 33.2 minutes. He's shot 50.8% from the field and 40.7% from three while tallying 2.1 three-balls a night.
All total, the senior produces 126.3 points per 100 possessions on a career-high usage of 27.9%. Ranking fourth in the entire nation with .264 win shares per 40 minutes, Hart is likely to one-up his performance from last year's tournament as he seeks a second straight championship.
He and the 1-seeded Wildcats will first play Thursday against Mount St. Mary's, the winner of Tuesday night's play-in game.
