4 Defenses to Target in Your Fantasy Football Drafts
Though you'll hopefully be drafting your defense at the end of your drafts, it's still important to strategically select the right one.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

An option that may piggyback off of the last recommendation is the Tampa Bay Bucs.

In Weeks 1 and 2, it would be best to avoid the Bucs, as they face the Falcons (14th in schedule-adjusted NEP last year) and the Cardinals (1st). However, after that, the matchups start to get considerably better. In the seven weeks following that start, they'll get the Rams, Broncos, Panthers, 49ers, Falcons, Raiders and Bears.

The Rams ranked dead last in NEP in 2015 and will once again feature an offense focused on a lot of Todd Gurley. And unfortunately, potentially a lot of Case Keenum. While Gurley is a stud, the Rams were one of only five teams in 2015 to record a negative NEP per play last year.

Following the Rams, the Bucs will face an aforementioned Broncos team that doesn't have a real starting quarterback, and the 49ers who, again, have inefficient passers under center as well.

If there's an open spot on your roster late, outside of a few bumps, the first nine weeks look pretty appetizing for Tampa Bay.
