10 Lessons the 2016 NFL Preseason Has Taught Us So Far
The NFL's regular-season dress rehearsal kicks off Thursday. What have we learned from the preseason already?

The Legend of Christine Michael Rides Onward

Running back Christine Michael was left out to dry by not one, not two, but three teams last season. This included a Seattle Seahawks roster that had lost their superstar lead runner to injury and the Cowboys, who were stitching together a patchwork quilt of a backfield.

Yet Michael found his way back to the Seahawks this offseason and appears to have his head finally going the same direction as his ever-athletically-gifted body. Last season, out of the 72 running backs with at least 50 rushing attempts, Michael ranked 13th with a 0.03 Rushing NEP per attempt.

He’s continued that success in the preseason, rumbling for 99 yards on 17 carries through the first two games. The coaching staff appears to have enough faith in Michael that they believe he is the primary rushing complement to injured starter Thomas Rawls already.
