3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 1
Jarvis Landry ($6,600 on FanDuel)
Don't mess with Texas, the Zohan, or the Legion of Boom.
Apparently, the Miami Dolphins don't subscribe to at least one of those rules -- Landry says the Dolphins "will challenge" Richard Sherman this Sunday in Seattle.
While Landry runs the majority of his routes from the slot, Sherman has moved to the slot to cover guys like Antonio Brown and Larry Fitzgerald previously, and it's not out of the question he could do the same for Landry.
Landry's 167 targets last season were the sixth-most in the league, but his 0.49 Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 32nd among the 32 wide receivers who were targeted at least 100 times. He was inefficient thanks to his average depth of target being so low.
Miami has a Vegas-implied points total that's by far the lowest on the slate. And since 2014, only 11 of 67 opposing wide receivers have scored more than nine FanDuel points in CenturyLink Field.
I love Landry, but we should all hate this spot.
