10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 2
Target these guys on your waiver wire for upside or stability after a crazy Week 1.

Mohamed Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons

ESPN Ownership: 52%
Yahoo Ownership: 45%

Sometimes a man has to admit when he's wrong. And I admit it. I had zero interest in grabbing Mohamed Sanu heading into my 2016 drafts. But, thankfully, he's available in almost half of ESPN leagues right now, and that won't last very long.

Part of the reason I was hesitant to jump on Sanu this offseason was that the Atlanta Falcons offense in 2015 flowed through Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman, and I didn't see where the space could exist to have two fantasy-relevant receivers on the roster.

But in Week 1, Sanu proved that he can be fantasy relevant with Jones in the picture by garnering 8 targets and putting up an impressive 5-catch, 80-yard, 1-touchdown performance. But what makes Sanu so intriguing is looking back at his time as a Cincinnati Bengal, particularly in 2014 when star receiver A.J. Green was injured for a few games.

Without Green in the lineup during his time in Cincinnati, Sanu averaged nearly 19 PPR points per game. So even though Sanu has standalone value despite Jones' target-hogging presence, he has shown upside when his team's number-one receiver has had to miss time.

Jones has already had ankle issues this offseason and rolled his ankle again in Week 1. But Sanu is exactly the kind of high upside waiver claim you'll want to be making in case the injury bug strikes Jones in the coming weeks.
