Fantasy Football: 5 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Week 2
What do the odds say about Week 2 for certain players, and how can your fantasy teams benefit?

Start Graham Gano as a Double-Digit Favorite

numberFire's Jim Sannes wrote a fantastic article in January on how kickers performed based on measures such as Vegas spreads, implied totals, and favorites versus underdogs. Based on his findings, we need to target kickers on teams that are heavily favored, with implied team total as the tiebreaker.

In Week 2, we are targeting Graham Gano of the Carolina Panthers.

And now, for my Chris Berman impersonation, Graham "The More You" Gano, is likely to put up big numbers this week. Carolina is the largest favorite on the slate, expected to win by 13 points. Carolina also has the largest implied total in the league at 29.5.

From 2012 to 2014, kickers on teams who were favored by more than 10 points averaged 9.77 fantasy points per game.

Gano is going to cost you a pretty penny to start, but at $4,900 on FanDuel, he's worth the risk. Unlike a Jeff Fisher-led offense, Carolina should be able to score at will against the San Francisco 49ers' defense.

If you round out your FanDuel lineup and have a couple hundred dollars remaining, keep Gano in mind.
