Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 2
Don't get caught up in the recency bias: Washington linebacker Ryan Kerrigan is still really good in IDP fantasy football.

Week 1 is in the books, and that means we can see just how much our offseason theories have worked so far. For Individual Defensive Player (IDP) owners, we know that the landscape of fantasy for us is much more shifting and uncertain every offseason, and that doesn’t stop in Week 1.

At this point, we need to keep making adjustments to our perceptions and tweak our rosters to fit the new realities we’re seeing, like that Washington's Mason Foster is still a really good fantasy linebacker, or that Brandon Graham can thrive in the right system in the NFL. I already knew this, but everyone can plainly see that Leonard Williams should make us all afraid to go to sleep at night.

The waiver wire leading up to Week 2 is a time for strategic adjustments and responses to the new season, and this column is no different. As you’ll see in the Week 1 recap, this column proudly hit on six of our eight recommendations. I was encouraged by a friend in the IDP community to dig even deeper, though, and help the IDP community find even less-known commodities to start. So, that’s what we’re doing: from this point forward, Plugging the Gaps will only look at players 95% available or more. Challenge accepted, 2016; let’s do this.

Which IDP players owned in less than 5% of ESPN leagues should we look to as waiver wire targets for Week 2?
