FanDuel Price: $6,000
Salary Change: Down $900
When FanDuel pricing was released a month before the regular season, Robert Griffin III still hadn’t been announced as the official starter for the Cleveland Browns. Thus, both Griffin III and backup Josh McCown were priced as if they were going to start in Week 1. The regular season opened, Griffin III played all of the snaps, and when FanDuel released pricing for Week 2, it was assumed that McCown would naturally continue to the backup. Thus, his salary dropped $900.
But in true RGIII fashion, he suffered a shoulder injury on a scramble late in the game and was placed on injured reserve on Monday. McCown will be thrust into the starting lineup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, being the lowest-priced starting quarterback this week on FanDuel.
In games that Josh McCown started and finished last season, he reached cash game value (two times his salary) 71 percent of the time. At just $6,000, he looks like a good bet to do it again this week.
