Dak Prescott quietly ranks 11th among quarterbacks in fantasy scoring to start the season.
He didn't throw for his first NFL touchdown until Week 3, but he has thrown for at least 225 yards in each game and has 2 touchdowns on the ground to go with that 1 through the air. He has also had a very efficient start to the season. Prescott's 0.32 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back are good for 5th among the 36 quarterbacks with at least 30 drop backs on the year, and his 0.53 Rushing NEP per carry ranks 4th among the 21 quarterbacks with at least 5 rushing attempts.
He's up against the San Francisco 49ers this week, a team that has given up above-average fantasy production to quarterbacks despite drawing a matchup against Case Keenum in Week 1 and playing one-third of a game against Trevone Boykin in Week 3.
It sounds like he'll be without Dez Bryant, which hurts Prescott's prospects a bit this week, but his efficient play and good matchup combine to make him a solid waiver wire option at quarterback this week.
