NFL
3 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 4
The Chiefs' defense won a lot of people some serious cash last week. Which defenses are in a good spot to produce this week?

Washington

FanDuel Price: $4,600
Projections: 21.98 points allowed, 2.52 sacks, 1.72 turnovers, 0.18 touchdowns

Using this Washington D/ST can be a bit unnerving, as they’ve given up 38, 27, and 27 points to open the season. But matchups are important in DFS, and this week, Washington will host the Cleveland Browns. Cody Kessler, a third-round rookie quarterback who wasn’t expected to play at all this season, is only making his second career start for Cleveland. While he played a decent game last week, he still took four sacks and had a surefire pick-six dropped.

If you’re not yet convinced, just turn to Vegas. Bettors are fans of the Redskins this week. Despite receiving just 34% of the spread bets at Sportsbook.ag, Washington has moved from 6.5-point favorites to 7.5-point favorites. In the process, Cleveland’s implied team total has fallen to just 19.5 points.

There’s DFS history on Washington’s side, too. Non-elite priced D/STs ($5,000 or less) that are playing a non-division opponent at home as touchdown favorite or higher have reached tournament value 26% of the time over the last three seasons.

There’s no denying Washington’s poor defense so far this year, but they’re in a prime spot to be a top-scoring D/ST in Week 4.
