Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
12 Receptions, 300 Yards, 15 Targets, 1 Touchdown
Performance: 100, NEP: +25.27
Jones became just the sixth wide receiver in NFL history to hit the 300-yard receiving mark as he put on a dazzling performance this past week. He routinely found holes in the Carolina Panthers' secondary and was able to catch 12 of 15 targets and reach the end zone once on a 75-yard touchdown.
Jones was fantastic in Week 4, showing a great ability to adjust to the deep ball and making huge plays all over the field. His 75-yard catch and run touchdown added +6.34 to his NEP total. The young Carolina cornerbacks seemed to be overmatched and unable to offer much resistance.
Over the past three seasons, nobody has more 15-target games than Julio's 9. The next closest are Odell Beckham and Antonio Brown with five each. Jones' 300-yard outing ended up setting a franchise record, and he narrowly missed making NFL history -- getting close to Willie "Flipper" Anderson's NFL-best 336 receiving yards.
Unsurprisingly, Julio was this week's top fantasy performer, finishing with 48 points. Julio rebounded in a massive way after a poor outing in Week 3, but he will face a much stiffer test next week with a matchup against the Denver Broncos' talented secondary.
