Fantasy Football: 5 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Week 5
What do the odds say about Week 5 for certain players -- like Tom Brady's career performance as a double-digit road favorite -- and how can your fantasy teams benefit?

Start Mason Crosby as a Home Favorite

numberFire's Jim Sannes wrote a fantastic article in January on how kickers performed based on measures such as Vegas spreads, implied totals, and favorites versus underdogs. Based on his findings, we need to target kickers on teams that are heavily favored, with implied team total as the tiebreaker.

In Week 5, we are targeting minimum-priced kicker Mason Crosby of the Green Bay Packers since the Packers are favored to win by 7.5 points.

Green Bay has the second-highest total of the week at 27.75 points. Another favorable trend is that the Packers play at Lambeau Field, where Crosby has done better in his career. According to Pro Football Reference, Crosby has scored 607 career points in 73 home games. To put that into perspective, in 74 away games, Crosby scored only 559 points.

Crosby, who has the upside of a top kicker, only costs the minimum of $4,500 on FanDuel, making him a nice plug-and-play option for those who want to spend up at other positions.
