FanDuel Price: $6,400
Salary Change: Up $1,500
In a surprise move last Sunday morning, Baltimore Ravens’ running back Justin Forsett was benched and inactive for the Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders. Terrance West was named the starter and put up a solid fantasy performance with 21 rushes for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Fast forward a couple of days and now Forsett has been cut by the Ravens, leaving just West, Javorius Allen, and rookie Kenneth Dixon in the backfield. While everything seems to be trending up for West, everything that was written about Jordan Howard applies here -- except West’s outlook is even bleaker.
For one, West won’t catch passes. He’s averaged just one reception per game this season as Allen will handle the passing-down duties.
Secondly, Dixon is fully recovered from his preseason MCL sprain, will be active for Week 5, and has a chance to earn significant snaps. Despite West’s effort last week, the coaching staff isn’t willing to anoint West as the starter. "I expect to get all the guys as many carries as we can," head coach Jim Harbaugh said. "How it shakes out -- who gets what carries -- is kind of unpredictable."
Like Howard, West isn’t an option in cash games on Sunday, but he makes for an interesting GPP play against Washington's poor run defense.
