10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 6
After Week 5, Cameron Meredith demands the attention of fantasy players everywhere. Who else is worth a waiver claim heading into Week 6?

Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans

ESPN Ownership: 31.9%
Yahoo Ownership: 47%

Perhaps it was just the matchup against Miami's laughable excuse for a secondary, but Marcus Mariota rebounded from his slow start in a big way in Week 5. He completed 20 of 29 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns while also adding 60 yards and a touchdown on the ground. We've all heard about Mariota's athleticism, and if he begins to use his legs more, he has some tantalizing upside for a quarterback who is unowned in nearly 70 percent of ESPN leagues.

Even if you think last week's outburst was just a product of his matchup, it doesn't matter this week, because Mariota gets an even better matchup in the form of the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have allowed multiple touchdowns in eight straight games and 13 of their last 14, including three straight games with three touchdown passes allowed. They've been torched by mediocre quarterbacks (Ryan Tannehill for 319 yards and 3 scores) and elite quarterbacks (Tom Brady for 406 and 3) alike, and Mariota should have no problem putting on an encore performance of sorts.

Not sold yet? It gets better! From Weeks 6 to 11, Mariota faces the Browns, Jaguars, Chargers, Packers, and the Indianapolis Colts twice. Heading into Week 4, all of those defenses ranked in the bottom 12 in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. With the tough part of his schedule already out of the way, there's a very real chance that the talented second-year quarterback may be about to go on a hot streak that you are not going to want to miss out on.
