FanDuel Price: $7,000
Salary Change: Down $500
With Tom Brady’s return last week, LeGarrette Blount saw a season-low 31 snaps as the New England Patriots reverted to a more pass-heavy offense against the Cleveland Browns. Although James White led all Patriots running backs in snaps in Week 5 with 38, Blount still carried the rock 18 times in limited action.
Blount couldn’t get going, finishing the game with just 37 rushing yards and 9.7 FanDuel points. Now, he’s $500 cheaper in a matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals where the Patriots are 9-point Vegas favorites.
Because Blount isn’t a major factor in the pass game -- he’s tallied just three receptions in five games this season -- it’s risky to use him in your FanDuel lineup in games where New England could trail in the second half. In games where the Pats are favored by a touchdown or more, though, Blount has averaged three more FanDuel points (11.8) than in games where they are not (8.8).
Even with Vegas on his side, it’s tough to consider Blount for cash games this week. However, his touchdown upside is massive -- last week, he had 6 carries inside the 10-yard line. His ability to score multiple touchdowns makes him a perfect GPP play in this spot.
