5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 6
Greg Olsen is off to a fantastic start, and he is on pace to make history at the tight end position.

Andrew Luck Has Been Sacked a League-High 23 Times This Season

Six games into the 2016 season, Andrew Luck has been sacked an average of 3.83 times per game. That puts him on pace to be sacked 61.33 times this season -- if he can even stay healthy enough to play all 16 games.

There have been only six occurrences since 1920 in which a quarterback was sacked more than 61 times in a season. (Notice: I didn’t say only six quarterbacks, because David Carr actually holds two of the top three spots.) Only one of those teams finished with a winning record, and the Indianapolis Colts are currently sitting at two wins through six games this season.

Luck has been sacked two or more times in every game this season, and he has already been sacked five or more times in three separate games. In Week 7, he will be staring head on at a Tennessee Titans' defense that has notched six sacks in each of their past two games.
