Fantasy Football: 5 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Week 7
What do the odds say about Week 7 for certain players -- like Philip Rivers' upside as an underdog -- and how can your fantasy teams benefit?

Start Mike Nugent as a Double-Digit Favorite

In our waiver wire article from earlier this week, Bengals kicker Mike Nugent was recommended as the kicker to add. I am also recommending him as a top kicker for daily fantasy football this weekend.

Jim Sannes wrote an article in January on how kickers performed based on measures such as Vegas spreads, implied totals, and favorites versus underdogs. Based on his findings, we need to target kickers on teams that are heavily favored, with implied team total as the tiebreaker.

In Week 7, Nugent meets the trends that we look for in a kicker. The aforementioned Bengals are currently favored by 10.5 points. According to Sannes, kickers on teams favored by 10 or more points scored an average of 9.77 points per game.

Nugent is priced at $4,600 on FanDuel, which is just $100 more than the minimum price for a kicker. He is worth starting in all formats.
