Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 7
Brian Robison has been an ageless wonder for IDP fantasy football players in 2016.

Sean Smith, Cornerback

I really like to pick on Oakland Raiders cornerback Sean Smith in our weekly column of 10 Wide Receivers With Great Cornerback Matchups (this week's isn't out yet), and with good reason: he’s been hemorrhaging points to opposing passing attacks. What makes him a good IDP option for you in Week 7, however, is that fact that he allows the catch (frequently) and then has enough athleticism to catch the receiver and earn tackles. That is a very good thing. Plus, there’s always the chance he intercepts a pass by being in the right spot at the right time, and matched up against the Jacksonville Jaguars and quarterback Blake Bortles, that’s a very likely occurrence. Bortles has the third-highest interception rate among Week 7 starting quarterbacks, and the Jaguars are the second-most pass-happy team in the league; they’re as good a bet as any to stream cornerbacks against.

Smith is available in 96.8% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 3.20 tackles, 0.26 interceptions, 0.82 passes defended, and a total score of 5.62 fantasy points in Week 7.
