Week 8 NFL FanDuel Tournament Pivots
DeAndre Hopkins has struggled this season, but there's reason to believe he could win DFS tournaments this weekend.

Wide Receiver

Chalk:

Given the cheap running backs on the board this week, it's going to be normal for lineups to see high-priced wide receivers. Julio Jones -- as I said earlier with Matt Ryan -- is in a good matchup in what should be a high-scoring game, Mike Evans should dominate the market share versus a lower-tiered Oakland Raiders secondary, and, despite Donte Moncrief returning to action, T.Y. Hilton is priced well enough to be considered a top-owned option as well.

Pivots:

DeAndre Hopkins, $7,600 (vs. Detroit Lions): Oh, I know he's burned you. And I'm fully aware that his quarterback is Brock Osweiler. But DeAndre Hopkins is in an elite spot this weekend against the Lions, a secondary that's pacing to be one of the worst our database has ever recorded.

The Texans have seen some really tough matchups this year, including three contests against top-six pass defenses in Minnesota, Denver, and Kansas City. That hasn't helped Hopkins' fantasy point totals. The numbers surrounding Hopkins, though, are kind of great. He's got nearly a 26% target market share, which is a top-10 number in football. And, to that point, he's seen fewer than eight targets in just one game this year.

With this matchup -- oh, by the way, the Lions' top cornerback, Darius Slay, probably isn't playing -- and the volume that should come with it, Hopkins could be in store for a huge performance.
