3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 8
Philip Rivers is on the road against the Denver Broncos this week, putting him in a very tough spot, and there is a big-time wideout who may be worth fading in tournaments.

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

FanDuel Price: $9,200

Make no mistake -- Julio Jones is a stud. His 71.31 Reception NEP this season leads his nearest competitor (A.J. Green) by more than 10 points. Jones also leads the league in Target NEP at 48.24.

This isn't a bad matchup. In fact, the last time he faced the Green Bay Packers defense he lit them up for 259 receiving yards. This season, Green Bay has allowed 101 receiving yards per game to opposing No.1 wide receivers -- the second-worst mark in the NFL. The Packers are literally praying day and night for help with slowing down Jones, and Atlanta has the highest implied total (27.8) of the week in the only game on the slate with an over/under of 50-plus points (52.5).

Why in the world would I suggest avoiding Julio Jones? Ownership, baby.

Because of the reasons listed above, and the fact that you can fill your running back slots with inexpensive options like Devontae Booker and Ty Montgomery, it will be very easy to build a solid roster this week with Jones in it. Many people will likely do just that.

As a result, your best move in GPPs may be fading Julio. If you do and he has unexpected subpar performance, it would give you a pretty nice leg up on a lot of the competition. Our DFS projections have both Mike Evans and Green scoring more points and providing more FanDuel Value this week.
