The fantasy regular season is halfway over, and it's not too early to start thinking about the playoffs, especially if you're off to a good start and cruising toward a postseason berth. This is particularly true if you're in a (criminal) league where all of the spoils go to the playoff champ while the regular-season winner gets a pat on the back. A good draft followed by savvy trades and solid waiver pickups can go to waste with one bad week in the playoffs.
You can give yourself the best chance to avoid a Peyton Manning postseason -- one and done -- by looking ahead at playoff matchups in an effort to set yourself up for success. Again, this advice only applies to teams currently bossing their league. If you're fighting to make the playoffs, then you need production now, but if you have the luxury of giving up some Week 10 points in favor of nabbing some players with mouth-watering matchups when it really counts, it's something you should investigate.
The aim with this series is to look down the road and show you which teams have juicy playoff matchups and which teams end the year with a tough schedule. Since the postseason in most leagues runs from Week 14 to Week 16, those are the weeks on which we'll focus.
Earlier this week, we looked at passing games to target, but we're going to flip the script in this installment and check out some passing attacks to avoid. If you're in good shape, you may want to consider moving some of these players who have difficult matchups in favor of some guys in more favorable situations.
