Combining this with an outstanding run defense, which ranks fourth in the league, has led to opponents focusing on their passing game, and the Panthers have allowed the league's fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Smith isn't the most exciting fantasy play in the world, but he has finished as a top-12 fantasy quarterback in three of his six full games this season.
